FAQ

Common questions from partners.

Who can become an Obtained partner?
Senior introducers and firms operating in regulated finance — advisors, consultants, brokers, law firms, accounting firms, compliance practices, payments and banking partners, M&A brokers, and strategic technology vendors. Approval is by application; not every applicant is onboarded.
What types of opportunities can I refer?
Licensing (EMI, PI, MiCA and similar), regulated business acquisitions, M&A in licensed entities, payments and banking introductions, compliance remediation, and adjacent regulated finance opportunities. If you're unsure whether something qualifies, ask before referring.
How are commissions calculated?
Per the commercial plan agreed when your account is set up — and per any plan attached to a specific deal. Plans can be fixed, success-based, percentage-based, recurring, or a mix. Each commission line is visible in your dashboard against the deal it belongs to.
Can commission plans differ by deal?
Yes. The platform supports plans declared at deal level — for example, an upfront introducer fee plus a closing success fee plus a trail share. Each line carries its own status: earned, pending, eligible, or paid.
Can companies have multiple users?
Yes. Corporate partners can invite named colleagues with role-based access — owner, co-admin, or submitter — so visibility matches your firm's internal policy.
When can I request a payout?
When commission lines reach Eligible status. Eligibility depends on the underlying milestone — closing, completion of a vesting period, or a billing event for trail commissions. Requests are made in one click from the dashboard.
Is the platform available only to approved partners?
Yes. Login is gated to approved partners only. The platform is not a public sign-up product.
Does Obtained manage the client after referral?
Yes. Obtained leads structuring, execution, and delivery once a referral is accepted. You retain visibility throughout, but you're not expected to project-manage the engagement.
Can I track the deal status in real time?
Yes. Every deal in your account shows its current stage, percentage progress, and commission lines. Updates from our team flow through to your dashboard as they happen.
